If you’re wanting to know how to do keyword research for your business blog FAST, here’s how to find tonnes of relevant keywords for your posts. This will ensure that when you’re writing content for your website, you can optimise them for a keyword relevant to your business.
Here’s how to do keyword research really quickly for your website or blog to make sure it ranks in search results.
My favourite tool for doing keyword research is AHREFS. And what you can do is you can sign up for a seven day trial for $7, and just pay the $7, login, get it on the standard plan. Once you’ve logged in, make sure you cancel it because it will come out with your account, so save yourself that $179 login and cancel it. When you log in, it will ask you a few questions to start with, but then you’ll probably be greeted with the dashboard page. You can then visit the keyword Explorer. For this tutorial we are going to pretend that you are a Pilates teacher, to get loads of blog post ideas really quickly that we can potentially rank for.
How to Use AHREFS Keyword Explorer

I’m just going to pop the keyword polarities into the keyword Explorer, press search. I’ve left it as a UK, to crawl in the UK. But if you’re mewhere else, you can change that. And let’s pretend you’re, you’re a Platas teacher. you can just pop the term polarities into here. and you couldn’t, you can see that this keyword has keyword difficulty rating of 67, which is going to be very difficult to rank for if you’re a small local business. as you can see, the NHS are coming on the top there. what we want to do is we want to find all the other blog post ideas that aren’t going to be difficult for us to rank for. the first thing I’m going to do is in this keyword ideas section is click the phrase match button. and now this should give us loads of keywords, all including that phrase Pilates.
How to Choose Keywords
You can see it’s generated over three 30,000 keywords. I’m going to edit the keyword difficulty rating to have a maximum of four. The keyword difficulty score is it’s just a metric, which is used specifically for this tool. It’s a score out of one hundred. We want it to be as close to zero as possible in order to try and rank for that keyword. To narrow down the keywords, which are very competitive, I’m going to put a maximum keyword difficulty score in here of four and press apply, wait for that to load. Now we’ve got a thousand keywords in here, and you can filter by the search voles at the top. now we can see all the different keywords, which we’re kind of likely to rank for. And now we can start to go and add these to a keyword list to try and generate me ideas for me blog posts.
Creating A Keyword List to Export
Pilates mat, let’s add this to a keyword list. I’m just going to call it Pilates. Great. I’m going to add plotters maps to that plot is ball, body con body control Pilates. is it chili Pilates? That’s an interesting one. this I can’t pronounce, I think it’s sketcher, but I think it’s bad back. we could add that plot is for bad back, uh, boot camp polarities, PRCS equipment UK, probably not. but what we’re going to do from these keywords is we are then going to, once you clicked the relevant phrases, you can then start to think a bit more out of the box and try and create me content for these keywords, which people are searching for. polities falls, bloody ftballs. if we add all of these to our keyword list, and what I would do is I would go through the list and just see if there are any key phrases that, that you think you can use.
How to Generate Blog Post Ideas From Keywords
And as an example, things like Pilates balls, best Pilates exercises for runners. that’s going to help bring extra traffic to your website, people that are looking for Pilates, exercises, and you can create a whole blog post or video around that keyword. and again, Plata is balls. Maybe you don’t sell party’s balls, but you can do a review of your favourite Pilates balls, or you could do a blog post about the best policies balls to use, or potentially why you always recommend runners use pilates balls. And then you’ve still got that keyword into that blog paste and you’re creating relevant and useful content. but you’re al ensuring that you’ve got that keyword in there. here is the keyword search vole. that’s how many people in the UK approximately a searching for that keyword every single month.
These are quite low search volumes 200 or say, but once you start to build up these blog posts, even if they’ve got these lower search volumes, Google can start to see that you’re building up all of that relevant content around these keywords. and it will stand your website in really good stead and, pay off in the future. Go through add all these key terms, and once you’ve got these key words, then you want to make sure that you’re writing the right content. you can rank for these keywords, which we’re going to talk about next.
